OLD Tutoring Relationship Coordinator
An excellent role for: The TRC role is all virtual, and schedule is flexible. TRCs spend on average about 1 hour per week per tutoring service relationship. TRCs start with 1 tutoring service relationship and take on more later if they wish. Some volunteers serve as a tutor for one client, and serve as a TRC for another client & tutor. To be a TRC, you need to be effective in virtual collaboration, able to communicate your schedule availability, and able to commit at least 1 hour per week.
Time commitment: 1-3 hours/week on average
Role Expectations/Duties:
- The Tutoring Relationship Coordinator (TRC) serves as an academic coach to clients, and provides personalized appreciation to our tutors.
- As a TRC, you’ll support 1 to 3 tutoring service relationships, depending on your time availability. TRCs arrange periodic check-in sessions with the client & tutor of each tutoring service relationship, assisting the client to reflect on their progress and update their academic goals as the student’s learning situation evolves over time.
- TRCs stay informed of students’ progress by reading tutors’ session reflections and by watching portions of session videos.
- TRCs regularly provide tutors with personalized appreciation for their contributions to our students’ success.
